I love the retro-chic look that most of my friends and family have. I love that it is a nod to classic looks that are timeless but still current. Even the colors I keep in my apartment are still relevant today.

One of the most common modifications is to completely change the interior design of your home. Some people even paint the walls. Even the colors are a bit of a toss up. However, some of the best ideas I found for retro-apartments are ones that don’t involve color. Instead, I found an apartment that had it all. It was filled with antique, hardwood interior, and even a vintage bathroom.
I was surprised how much I loved this place. A great retro apartment would have needed a lot of work and had to be a little more expensive. But this was an apartment that was very functional, clean, and well-located. The kitchen was great because of the old cabinets and the sink, and the living room was great because of the fireplace and the old rug that was still in the living room. The bedrooms were also great because of the hardwood floors and great lighting.
We’ve spent a lot of time here with our kids, so we didn’t want to take the time to fix anything too fancy, but we did get some nice artwork from an estate sale. We did get a few new lamps, and we replaced the lamp shade in the bathroom (which is in the upstairs hall closet), and also replaced the vanity light that was in the bathroom. We also got a few new towels from a home improvement store.
My apartment is about 8×8, and the only thing I would have changed is to have a smaller bathroom that is on the 3rd floor, because the bathroom is the second place (behind the kitchen) that is on the main floor. Then the room would be smaller, but still big enough for a couch.
The only thing I would change if it were my place is the kitchenette, because I have no desire to ever cook, and the refrigerator is a nightmare. Instead I’m going to put a big fridge in the kitchen and a big fridge in the living room, which means I won’t have to get up and go to the kitchen to grab food, and I won’t have to go to the kitchenette to cook.
This doesn’t mean the kitchenette needs to be a giant kitchen, though. It’s just that it’s on the main floor. Maybe I should put a new refrigerator in the kitchen instead. That would make this thing look better and less cramped.
I think you’re on to something in this one. I was one of those people who thought I was going to be able to cook for two hours without having to look at the menu. When I did look at the menu, I saw that I could cook for two hours and not make a single mess. I didn’t want to do it, but I had to do it. Now I realize that I can cook for two hours and make a mess.
